Norm Lewis Announced for Good Theater’s Holiday Show

By:

Norm Lewis, a Drama Desk Award nominee, will be this year's headliner for the annual Broadway at Good Theater concerts December 3-6. Mr. Lewis was most recently seen on Broadway as King Triton in The Little Mermaid at the Lunt Fontanne Theatre. His other Broadway credits include: Javert in the recent revival of Les Miserables, Billy Flynn in Chicago, Jake in Side Show, John in Miss Saigon, as well as The Wild Party, The Who's Tommy and Armor. He recently released an album of show tunes entitled: Norm Lewis, This is the Life.

Joining him will be three special guests: Kelly Caufield, a Good Theater regular; singing sensation Marva Pittman who will be making her fourth appearance with Good Theater; and Dennis St. Pierre who starred as Jean Valjean in Maine State Music Theater's recent production of Les Miserables.

These four guests will join Good Theater favorites Grace Bradford, Jen Means, Marc Brann, Stephen Underwood, Jennifer Manzi Macleod, Todd & Katie Daley, and Brian P. Allen. New performers to the Good Theater stage include Marie Dittmer, Devon Dukes, John Adams, Benjamin Row and Lady Zen.

Broadway at Good Theater plays for five performances December 3 - 6: Thursday 7:30 ($25), Friday 7:30 ($25), Saturday 3:00 ($25) & 8:00 ($30) and Sunday 2:00 ($30). For reservations and additional information patrons should call the Good Theater box office at 207-885-5883 or go to the Good Theater website at www.goodtheater.com.

Broadway at Good Theater is the annual holiday fundraising concert for the organization. Proceeds benefit Good Theater and their season of plays and musicals. In the past, all five concerts have sold-out, so patrons are advised to get their tickets early.

This unique event mixes Broadway hits with holiday favorites. Act one is devoted to the music of Broadway. This year patrons will hear songs from South Pacific, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Chess, Hair, Man of LaMancha and many others. Act two highlights songs of the holiday season. In addition to well-known numbers like "Sleigh Ride," "What Child Is This," and "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year," singers will feature some lesser known Christmas songs as well ("Cool Yule," "Blue Holiday," "Three Wishes for Christmas").

Good Theater is the professional theater in residence at the St. Lawrence Arts Center, 76 Congress Street, on MunJoy Hill, in Portland. Upcoming productions at Good Theater include: The Spitfire Grill (January 21 - February 14) and The Importance of Being Earnest (March 4 - 28).
