The Lost Treasures Collection, a series of rarely performed musical gems presented in concert/cabaret version on Lakewood Theatre Company's Side Door stage, presents the second offering in its third season, the musical Fiorello! Food, wine and other beverages will be available for purchase before and during the show.

The production, with direction by Ron Daum, assistant direction by Bobby Ryan and musical direction by Alan D. Lytle, will be performed for two nights only, Friday, Jan. 4 and Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 at 7:00 PM. The show is presented script-in-hand, with minimal staging. No sets, no props (free from the usual trappings of a fully staged production).

Fiorello!, first presented in 1959, features a book by Jerome Weidman and George Abbott, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick and music by Jerry Bock.

The Story: The rise to power of New York's Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia (1882-1947). "Tammany Hall" was up to its ears in graft, vice and corruption and it took this small, honest man to break their stranglehold on New York City politics. With guts and perseverance the "Little Flower" put a bright, new shine on the "Big Apple."

The cast includes Dan Murphy, Debbie Hunter-Kerns, Sean Powell, Daniel Bunten, Kylie Clarke Johnson, Lyle Bjorn, Joe Theissen and Louise Stinson.

Ticket prices are $20 for all seats. Contact the Lakewood Theatre Box Office at (503) 635-3901 or order online at http://www.lakewood-center.org or Click here to Purchase Tickets securely online.

The 2012-13 Lost Treasures series of plays includes Mr. President (October 19-20, 2012), Fiorello! (January 4-5, 2013) and Call Me Madam (April 19-20, 2013). The Series sponsor is Banner Bank.
