This breathtaking theatrical collage explores the depths to which humanity can sink and the heights of compassion of which we are capable. Based on interviews with citizens of Laramie, Wyoming after the murder of Matthew Shepard, this play is a true and heartbreaking story.

Theater Works Closes PuppetWorks Season With a Blacklight Under Sea Adventure

Theater Works concludes the 2016-17 PuppetWorks season with a revival of last season's underwater blacklight adventure SEA OF IMAGINATION.  Sammy the star falls from the sky and lands under the sea. His underwater adventures take him places he's never been and he meets new sea creatures. On his quest, he discovers that home is where the heart is. PuppetWorks productions are performed in the black light style of puppetry causing the puppets, scenery and even the audience to glow. SEA OF IMAGINATION is on the Gyder stage with performances at 10:30am and noon on April 8, 15 and 22.

The Bridge Initiative: Women in Theatre is accepting submissions from local playwrights for The Bechdel Test Fest on September 9th & 10th at Tempe Center for the Arts. Male and female Arizona playwrights encouraged to submit short and full-length plays that satisfy the requirements of the Bechdel Test: two female characters who talk to each other about something other than a man.
