In addition to continuing its tradition of bringing Broadway musicals back to life, Scottsdale Musical Theater Company also continues its special relationship with Valley veterans and military personnel. SMTC will partner with American Express, Henkel, Chase, Wells Fargo and Desert Hills Credit Union to provide FREE tickets to veteran and military personnel for Man of La Mancha.

On Sunday, December 30th at 7:00PM, SMTC will add a special performance of Man of La Mancha exclusively for veterans and active military personnel. For every two tickets purchased by employees of our proud partners for regularly scheduled performances, SMTC will donate one ticket to a veteran or an active military member. Employees of the partner companies may designate their ticket recipient if they choose, or SMTC will donate the ticket anonymously through local veteran and military organizations. The “Giving the Gift of Theater” program ends December 17th, 2012.

Performances will take place at the intimate 300-seat Dorrance Auditorium on the beautiful campus at Phoenix Country Day School (3901 E. Stanford Drive, Paradise Valley, AZ 85253).
Man of La Mancha is the inspirational story of the knight errant, Don Quixote, who believes chivalry is not dead and fearlessly goes into battle to defend his beliefs. The show features many memorable songs, including its most famous, “The Impossible Dream.”

The show stars AaRon Jacobson as Don Quixote, Hector Coris as his sidekick Sancho and Alexus Poulette as Aldonza/Dulcinea. The production will feature a cast of some of the Valley’s best performers and is being directed by stage veteran David Hock. The live 18-piece orchestra will be conducted by Tim Verville.

Regular performances are Thursday, December 27th @ 7:30PM, Friday, December 28th @ 8:00PM, Saturday, December 29th @ 8:00PM, and Sunday, December 30th @ 2PM
Reserved seating tickets are now on sale for $24.50 with senior and student discounted tickets available for $19.50. Veterans and active military can also purchase tickets to any performance for $12. Special ticket pricing is available for groups of 15 or more. Tickets can be purchased on-line at the company’s website, www.scottsdalemusicaltheater.com or by calling (602) 909-4215.
