Phoenix Chorale Keep The Music Playing with Beer Choir

By:

Members of the Grammy-winning Phoenix Chorale are celebrating a month of their favorite music - by drinking beer and singing songs. This month's Beer Choir will be held at First Draft Book Bar, located at 300 West Camelback Road, Phoenix 85013 at 7:00 pm.

Beer Choir will kick off the Phoenix Chorale's 30-30-30 campaign, during which all 30 members of the choir and staff work to find 30 supporters to donate $30 to the Phoenix Chorale in 30 days. In addition, Changing Hands and First Draft Book Bar will donate 10% of all sales made on April 1 when customers mention they are part of Beer Choir to the cashiers.

Join Phoenix Chorale at First Draft Book Bar as they drink beer and sing and croon their favorite, pop, choral, rock and sports-themed songs! (Beer Choir will be held during the NCAA Final Four Tournament.)

The public is invited to join in the fun, and anyone supporting the 30-30-30 campaign with a $30 donation to Phoenix Chorale will receive a commemorative Beer Choir Beer Glass.

The month culminates in Phoenix Chorale's final concert of the season,
MIX TAPE on April 28-30, which will feature a program of Phoenix Chorale fan favorites, selected by popular vote.

About the Phoenix Chorale:
The GRAMMY®-winning Phoenix Chorale, under the direction of Artistic Director Charles Bruffy, is regarded as one of the finest choral ensembles in North America. What began in 1958 as a small study group of singers became a fully professional choir in 1992 made up of Arizona residents: highly educated and trained singers, teachers and professionals. In 2004, the Phoenix Chorale became the first North American choir to record for the U.K.'s Chandos Records and since then, the Chorale's recordings have earned a total of ten GRAMMY® nominations and three GRAMMY® wins. The Phoenix Chorale is ensemble-in-residence at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in downtown Phoenix and is sponsored in part through grants and support from the Arizona Commission on the Arts, Music at Trinity, Central Sound, Mesa Community College and the Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture.

The Phoenix Chorale's 2016/17 Season concludes with its final concert, Mix Tape (Apr. 28-30). More information is at www.phoenixchorale.org
