FIRST LOOK: Cebu's HOOK UP THE MUSICAL Reveals New Character Portraits Ahead of Pride Month Return
Cebu’s groundbreaking bilingual musical is back—bigger, bolder, and more urgent than ever.
Cebu City--HOOK UP THE MUSICAL, written by Jude Gitamondoc and produced by Kadasig Entertainment Production, has officially released new character portraits ahead of its highly anticipated return.
The hit musical is set for a strictly limited, three-performance run at Sky Hall Seaside Cebu on June 13, 2026, perfectly timed for Pride Month.
HOOK UP THE MUSICAL has Shim Dagatan and Paul Pablo, who alternate as TimidTim, a shy young man looking for genuine connection amid the hookup culture.
Jan Echavarria and Grant Bacaltos share the role of IAmAnonymous, an app user whose radical honesty about his HIV status triggers a profound emotional awakening for Tim.
On the other hand, Maverick Niñeza stars as WitchingHour.
More than just a love story found online, HOOK UP THE MUSICAL tackles pressing contemporary issues. According to infectious disease specialist Dr. Bryan Albert Lim, the musical's themes are more relevant than ever; recent data from the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC) reveals a staggering 300% surge in local HIV cases over the last five years.
HOOK UP THE MUSICAL performances on June 13 are scheduled at 1 p.m. (student matinee), 4:30 p.m. (regular performance), and 8 p.m. (gala performance).
Tickets are priced from P800 to P2,000.
