The Foundry at PlayPenn 2027 Festival is co-produced by Philadelphia Theatre Company and PlayPenn, Philadelphia's playwright collective, spotlighting new work by emerging theater artists. The festival features new works by Lulu Duffy-Tumasz, Aly Gonzalez, and August Hakvaag, developed under the guidance of playwrights L M Feldman and R. Eric Thomas, who lead The Foundry at PlayPenn. The Foundry program provides four years of free mentorship and early-career support to playwrights, building a community of theatrical voices rooted in Philadelphia.
