Lifes a game and the fickle finger of fate chooses who loses in this charming tale of a sassy, diehard romantic, dancehall hostess whose naivety and overeager embrace of every man she meets keeps putting her in hot water. The multi-Tony Award winning Bob Fosse musical (which originally starred Gwen Verdon as Charity Hope Valentine) follows our indomitable heroine, with a literal heart tattooed on her sleeve, in and out of romantic entanglements, ever clinging to an electric optimism no matter what may befall her.
