As the nation is stuck in the throes of The Great Depression, young Celeste is strictly watched by her mother, but has a secret power inside her that will not be denied. When she gets a chance to run away with her magical Aunt Scarlett's traveling side show, Celeste leaps at the opportunity. But, just when she begins to earn a spot on stage, and among her castmates, the troupe is forced to rise to the challenge posed by their biggest chance at stardom. What will that success cost?
