Penn Live Arts presents the 2026 Philadelphia Children's Festival, May 3-5 at the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, featuring a lineup of performances for families and young audiences. Indoor programming includes master illusionist Bill Blagg, TheaterWorksUSA's The Magic School Bus: Lost in the Solar System, Literature to Life's staging of I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter, and JazzReach's Hangin' with the Giants, performed by the Metta Quartet. The outdoor PLAYground on the Annenberg Center plaza offers free hands-on activities from Philadelphia arts organizations, face painting, and a free concert by Grammy-winning musician Tim Kubart and the Space Cadets. First held in 1985, the Philadelphia Children's Festival is recognized as the first performing arts festival in the country designed specifically for families and young audiences.
