School of Rock

Get ready to rock...and dance, too! Music Theatre Philly, a professional performing arts training center in Philadelphia, is pleased to welcome School of Rock Associate Dance Captain Kara Haller, who will be in Philadelphia for the School of Rock National Tour, as she leads a special Master Class at the Music Theatre Philly studios at 1201 Spruce Street, Philadelphia. The energy-filled session is at 4:30PM on March 30, 2018.

This Master Class will bring the energy and excitement of School of Rock through a fun and informative glimpse into the show's choreography taught by one of the show's cast members. Learn a dance combination from one of School of Rock'S show-stopping musical numbers, gain Broadway secrets in a Q&A/Talk Back Session, and have a personal photo opportunity with Kara!

Kara Haller is originally from Olney, MD but now resides in Manhattan, New York City. She got her BM in Musical Theatre at Belmont University in Nashville, TN and has performed all over the U.S. since graduation. She has worked at regional theatres such as the Gateway Playhouse, Ogunquit Playhouse, the Ahmanson Theatre and Musical Theatre West. Before touring with School of Rock, she went on tour with BEAUTY AND THE BEAST as an ensemble member where she met her husband, Michael, who played Lumiere. She is currently the swing and assistant dance captain of the School of Rock 1st National Tour and represented by Eddie Rabon at Take 3 Talent.

MTP's Broadway Master Class Series offers an exclusive experience for aspiring artists and life-long learners to study with talented experts from the professional world of musical theatre. Classes end with a question and answer session, giving participants a chance to gain unique insight into the world of professional theatre.

The Master Class is appropriate for students age 10 to adult. Registration is $30 and can be completed online at https://www.musictheatrephilly.com/masterclasses.
