The touring cast of NEWSIES stopped by the Philadelphia Performing Arts Charter School today, October 29, to work with fifth graders on honing their stage skills as part of its 'Get Up and Go' program. Find out more about their visit in the video!
Disney's Tony Award-winning Broadway phenomenon tells the story of an unlikely band of underdogs who take on the biggest names in publishing in an inspirational fight for justice. NEWSIES features music from Tony Award winners Alan Menken and Jack Feldman, book by Tony winner Harvey Fierstein and choreography by Tony Award winner Christopher Gattelli. The musical is directed by Tony nominee Jeff Calhoun.
NEWSIES is playing the Philadelphia Academy of Music through this Sunday, November 2.
