Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival Welcomes New Director of Marketing & PR

By:

Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, the professional theatre at DeSales University, is pleased to announce the recent promotion of Tina Slak to director of marketing and public relations.

In this key position, Slak will spearhead all marketing initiatives to promote the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival's mission, brand, and programs to the widest possible audience.

Slak succeeds Lisa Higgins who served in this role for 20 of PSF's 25-year history.

Tina joined the organization as a marketing associate in 2014 and quickly rose to PSF's group and corporate sales manager. She significantly increased revenue and growth in the group sales market and exceeded advertising sales goals for the Festival's annual season program.

"Tina brings proven success to this position and a deep understanding of both the organization and this community," says Producing Artistic Director, Patrick Mulcahy. "She has all the right strengths to help ensure the Festival's continued growth and visibility to the Lehigh Valley community and beyond."

An alumna of the DeSales University theatre program, Tina is a former voice-over talent who shifted to a business career and brings more than ten years of experience in marketing and property management (for developer J.B. Reilly). She is a parishioner and volunteer at St. Thomas More parish in Allentown. She served as chair for an event she conceived and executed for Allentown's 250th anniversary in 2012.

Tina Slak resides in Lower Macungie with her husband Milan D. Slak, Esquire and daughters, Alena and Gabriella Slak.

The professional theatre company in residence at DeSales University, PSF features acclaimed actors from Broadway, television, and film, winners and nominees of the Tony, Obie, Drama Desk, and other major theatre awards, from New York, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and around the country.

PSF is the Official Shakespeare Festival of the Commonwealth and a professional, not-for-profit theatre company. An independent 501(c) 3 organization, PSF receives support from DeSales University and relies on contributions from individuals, government agencies, corporations, and foundations. PSF is a constituent of the Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for the American theatre, and a member of the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance, the Shakespeare Theatre Association, the Lehigh Valley Arts Council, and Discover Lehigh Valley.
