The Kimmel Center will present a newly revised version of Frank McCourt's The Irish...And How They Got That Way from January 7 - February 28.

The Irish... and How They Got That Way is an irreverent but affectionate history of the Irish in America told through songs such as "Danny Boy," "The Rose of Tralee, and "Harrigan," along with the works of George M. Cohan including "Give My Regards to Broadway," "You're A Grand Ole Flag" and "I'm A Yankee Doodle Dandy" and music from modern-day Irish rockers such as U2.. The Irish... encapsulates the most tumultuous times of the past century with the vibrant humor and bitter irony that has become the trademark of the author of the acclaimed biography Angela's Ashes.
