Philadelphia's Inis Nua Theatre Company will host a staged reading of the play The Error of Their Ways on Monday, November 28 at First Baptist Church (1636 Sansom Street).

Directed by Kevin Glaccum, The Error of Their Ways is the second in Inis Nua's five-part reading series, featuring contemporary works from Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales. In The Error of Their Ways, British playwright Torben Betts provides a chilling distillation of the political delusions we see acted out all over the world. Savior of the nation, evil destroyer of dreams, cunning or misguided hangers-on: all these archetypes act out their parts before the chorus of an increasingly fanatical citizenry. In today's world of political unrest, this play's questioning of the similarities between electorate and elected feels frighteningly familiar.

In addition to The Error of Their Ways, the remaining readings of the Inis Nua series are: Random by Debbie Tucker Green on January 23; Love Steals Us from Loneliness by Gary Owen on March 19; and Paul Walker's Didi's Big Day on May 21.

Free admission; donations welcome (all contributions are tax-deductible). Doors open at 6:45pm; show starts at 7pm. For further information, phone (215) 454-9776 or visit http://inisnuatheatre.org.
