Richard and Joanne Gustafson return to BRT with an evening of mystifying, mesmerizing, fantastical magic from around the world. Amazing World of Magic takes audiences from the exotic Far East to ancient Persia, from the mysteries of India to the sleight-of-hand of the Old West. Grand illusions and hilarious audience participation offer families an outing to remember. Many of the illusions in this two-hour show feature Genie, a model, actress and singer, who appears and disappears, floats in air, is cut into pieces, and always emerges smiling.

The Gustafons first burst onto the entertainment scene in 1967 when they appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show. Since then, they have performed in England, Canada, Monte Carlo, Singapore, the Caribbean and 40 states across the U.S. They have appeared on stage and TV with many top artists, including Joan Rivers, George Burns, Johnny Mathis, Myron Cohen, John Gary, Shelly Berman, and Buddy Greco.

Richard was inducted into the Society of American Magicians Hall of Fame in Hollywood in 2000, joining Harry Houdini, Siegfried & Roy, Howard Thurston, and Harry Blackstone, among others. He has served as President of Tech-Magic Presentations since 1971, producing trade shows, business meeting presentations and entertainment events for nearly 100 major corporations. He boasts a Ph.D. in Chemistry, from Clark University, Worcester, Massachusetts and is author of more than 30 technical papers and patents during a 12-year career in chemical research, which included time working for Rohm & Haas. He is also the past National President and a current member of the Society of American Magicians, the oldest and most prestigious magical organization in the world. He lives with his wife Joanne in Horsham, PA.
