Suz Murray’s KACHONK has played to delighted audiences at venues around NYC including New Works Festival at The Brick, Brooklyn Comedy Collective, Hidden Jewel Box Theatre, Life World and more. Murray is eager to bring Philadelphia audiences this raucous piece in association with Dumb Hub, curated by Sarah Knittel. Through a series of coffee gulps, menial tasks, dream sequences, torrential downpours, nature show binges, and the loudest briefcase you've ever heard, KACHONK explores what it means to survive capitalism on a hyper-industrialized planet (Earth) where all the birds are dying. KACHONK is an incredibly physical show that draws inspiration from old silent films, drag queens, contemporary dance, the destruction of our planet and humanity through industrialization and capitalism as well as Murray’s grandmother who dreamt of being a trapeze artist.
