Act II Playhouse to Host Three Nights of Music This Spring

Act II Playhouse presents Three Great Nights of Music This Spring AMBLER, PA - Act II Playhouse is proud to announce three great nights of music coming to Ambler this spring, from some of the area's top singers and performers.
The upcoming performances are:
- Larry McKenna presents The Great Girl Songs of the 60s on Sunday, March 6 at 7 p.m.
- Irish singer Gerry Timlin will perform Saturday, April 9 at 8 p.m.
- An Evening with Katie Eagleson: In My Fashion takes the stage on Saturday, April 30 at 8 p.m.
Tickets to Act II's musical performances are $20 each, with discounts available for subscribers, seniors, and students. Tickets are available online at act2.org or by calling 215-654-0200.
About Larry McKenna presents The Great Girl Songs of the 60s Sunday, March 6 at 7 p.m. Join Larry McKenna and five of Philadelphia's finest singers for a nostalgic night featuring the great girl songs from the 60s. An evening of great music that will have you singing and dancing in your seats.
About Gerry Timlin Saturday, April 9 at 8 p.m.A great favorite in the USA and Canada, this Pennsylvania-based singer has enjoyed success all over the world. He was born in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, where he developed an early interest in traditional Irish music and in folk music. From the beginning, Gerry displayed a musical talent, winning several singing competitions in Northern Ireland when he was still in his teens. He moved to the USA in the early seventies, and has been delighting audiences with his smooth baritone voice and his irreverent humor ever since.
Come enjoy the Great American Songbook and beyond - including some jazz, some Broadway, a little French, a little Spanish, and of course some tunes by the classic composers of the Great American Songbook. As one critic wrote, "Eagleson's voice is beautiful, but it's how she utilizes that beauty to communicate the meaning of the lyrics that makes her singing so memorable."
