Walnut Street Theatre has released first look footage of 1776, Sherman Edwards and Peter Stone's classic award-winning Broadway musical, now playing through May 31, 2026 as part of Philadelphia's celebration commemorating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Directed and choreographed by Marc Robin, this production will feature Philadelphia's very own Jeffrey Coon and Broadway's Jennifer Hope Wills. The cast also includes a live horse that will pull the Wells Fargo Wagon in the first act. THE MUSIC MAN runs now through January 6th on the WST Mainstage.
