Lyons and Pakchar are a new contemporary writing duo blending Pop/R&B for the Theatre. Their debut album #LOVE, which explores the good, bad, and awkward roller coasters in human relationships, will be recorded live in concert on Monday, August 19th at The Cutting Room at 8pm. Douglas Lyons, who is currently touring with THE BOOK OF MORMON 1st National tour and has also appeared in Broadway's RENT and DREAMGIRLS, has joined up with guitarist Ethan Pakchar to compose music. The West Coast Premiere of THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, officially opened September 12 at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood. Broadway World TV's Los Angeles Correspondent and Co-Producer Michael Sterling and Co-Producer Jerry Evans of JLE Media, Inc. were on hand for the red carpet festivities which included such celebrities as Jason Alexander, Rosanna Arquette, Simon Baker, Eric Balfour, Justin Bartha, Beth Behrs, Juie Bowen, Cher, Don Cheadle, Viola Davis, Heather Graham, Laura Dern, Jonathan Groff, Daryl Hannah, Kathy Griffin, Marica Gay Harden, John Hawkes, Lisa Kudrow, Diane Ladd, Tobey Maquire, Bill Maher, Garry Marshall, Julia Ormand, Dermot Mulroney, Carl Reiner, Parker Posey, Jane Seymour, and Alicia Silverstone. Trey Parker, Robert Lopez and Matt Stone were also in attendance. The much anticipated run of THE BOOK OF MORMON will continue through November 25, 2012.

The First National Tour of THE BOOK OF MORMON launches in Denver tomorrow, August 14-September 2 at The Ellie Caulkins Opera House. New York City saw a different side of its typically conservative Mayor, Michael Bloomberg, when he donned extensions and hippie garb on stage with Broadway's cast of Hair at the Inner Circle fundraiser dinner on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at The Hilton Hotel. Also joining the cast on stage in celebration were Jersey Shore cast members Snooki and Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino. Watch the clips of the performances below!

Yesterday, February 16, Oskar Eustis, Artistic Director of The Public Theater, and HAIR director Diane Paulus proudly introduced the new Tribe of America's favorite Tribal Love-Rock Musical to the press. The new Tribe will debut on Tuesday, March 9, at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, as the current cast takes the production to the West End, opening April 14 at London's Gilegud Theatre.
