As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Mira Nair's MONSOON WEDDING will be Broadway-bound following its run in San Francisco. Based on the iconic 2001 film, the stage musical had its world premiere at Berkeley Repertory Theatre on Friday, May 19th and where it will run through July 2nd.

Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong'o was live in Times Square today to discuss her new movie role in Disney's QUEEN OF KATWE, as well as her recent trip to the National Museum of African American History and Culture.

Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong'o is best known for her breakout role as Patsey in '12 Years a Slave,' and now she's heading to Broadway for the first time ever, with a starring role in ECLIPSED.

Following a sold-out run at The Public Theater, ECLIPSED will begin previews on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, with opening night set for March 6, 2016 on Broadway at the Golden Theatre (252 W. 45th Street). Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong'o will reprise her role on Broadway for this strictly limited engagement.
