Sonia Friedman Productions' UK premiere of Dreamgirls, which opened last December at the Savoy Theatre is currently running through 2nd June 2018 in the West End. Walking into the rehearsal studios at TUTS had a different energy on today. I thought I was at the New 42nd St. Rehearsal Studios in NYC, but I was here in H-Town awaiting the gorgeously talented cast of DREAMGIRLS. The energy was high and every press rep in the room had memories of their first introduction to this fabulous piece of American Musical Theatre. The day began with a brief introduction of the cast by TUTS Artistic Supervisor/ show director, Sheldon Epps.

The Fulton Theatre continues its 160th Anniversary Season with the flashy, bold show business musical Dreamgirls, representing the first time the show will be produced or presented in the Lancaster region. Dreamgirls is a co-production with Maine State Music Theatre and is directed and choreographed by the Fulton's Artistic Director, Marc Robin. The national touring production of MEMPHIS, the 2010 Tony Award-winning Best Musical, kicked off on October 16, 2011 at the Orpheum Theatre in Memphis, TN (203 South Main Street) where it will play through October 23. Check out highlights from the tour below!

Actor and performer Israel Cortez is becoming quite the YouTube sensation thanks in part to his solo remix interpretation of the powerhouse song 'It's All Over' from the film version of the musical 'Dreamgirls'. Cortez, a La Palma, California, resident, plays all the parts in the song, which is sung by Jamie Foxx, Keith Robinson, Beyonce, Anika Noni Rose and Sharon Leal as they confront Jennifer Hudson's 'Effie'.

Dreamgirls, directed and choreographed by Robert Longbottom, tells the rags-to-riches story of an up-and-coming 1960s singing girl group and the triumphs and tribulations that come with fame and fortune. The touring production is currently playing the CTG/Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles through April 4. BroadwayWorld brings you a look behind the scenes of the Dreamgirl's LA opening.

Cincinnati's Procter and Gamble Hall- Aronoff Center for the Arts will present DREAMGIRLS from June 8 through June 20, 2010.

The premiere of Dreamgirls in Los Angeles last night, March 2, was clouded by friends of Marie Osmond mouring the loss of her son, Michael Blosil, who recently committed suicide. Stars such as Angela Bassett and Nia Long expressed their condolences to the Osmonds on ET.
