The audience of Michael Feinstein's concert at Feinstein's at the Nikko got lucky last night when he invited legend of the star and stage, his friend Liza Minnelli, up to the stage with him to perform 'I Love A Piano.' The number was dedicated to the celebration and memory of Minnelli's mother, beloved actress Judy Garland. 

'SO YA WANNA BE A BROADWAY STAR?' is an awesomely awkward comedic satire that follows Micki Manuel Minnelli ( Jamison Daniels), an overnight YouTube Celebrity searching for Broadway stardom wherever he can find it. A German documentary team follows him around on his daily journey with his fan-girl/make-up artist Sandy ( Patricia McCarthy) forever by his side. Will Micki become famous or infamous - and does he even know the difference?

Liza Minnelli returned to the stage last week, Thursday, June 9 alongside her friend Michael Feinstein at The Library at the Public in New York City. She sang four songs including Cabaret, Maybe This Time and New York, New York. Check out a video of her appearance below!

The Jeff Awards Committee today announced 121 nominations in 24 categories for the 43rd Annual Non-Equity Jeff Awards for productions that opened between April 1, 2015, and March 31, 2016. The Non-Equity Awards honor excellence in Chicago theatres not under a union contract. Jeff judges attended opening nights of 148 productions offered by 67 Non-Equity producing organizations. The Jeff Committee recommended 65 of those shows (or 44%), making them eligible for Non-Equity Jeff Award nominations. Of the 65 Jeff Recommended productions, a record 53 (or 82%) received nominations, representing 32 theatre companies.

Tony and Oscar winning Broadway, film and TV star Liza Minnelli has appeared on Broadway in Flora, The Red Menace -- for which she won the 1965 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical -- Liza, Chicago, The Act (another Tony win in 1978), The Rink, Victor / Victoria, Minnelli on Minnelli and Liza's at the Palace. She also received a special Tony Award in 1978 She has appeared as herself on TV in Smash, The Voice UK, So You Think You Can Dance, The Apprentice and more, and she is also known for her portrayal of Lucille Austero in the now-Netflix-based comedy series Arrested Development.

Vogue recently released a new clip from the upcoming documentary, BATTLE OF VERSAILLES, which is set to air this Sunday, March 6th. The film documents the November 28, 1973 Battle of Versailles fashion show, and prominently features Broadway diva Liza Minnelli, who began the fashion show with an unforgettable performance. Today in 1984, The Rink opend at the Martin Beck Theatre (now the Al Hirschfeld Theatre), where it ran for 204 performances. With a book by Terrence McNally, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and music by John Kander, the musical focuses on Anna, the owner of a dilapidated roller skating rink on the boardwalk of a decaying seaside resort, who has decided to sell it to developers. Complicating her plans are her prodigal daughter Angel, who returns to town seeking to reconnect with the people and places she long ago left behind. Through a series of flashbacks, revelations, and minimal forward-moving plot development, the two deal with their pasts in their attempt to reconcile and move on with their lives.

Parlor Night strikes again! Were you there for the latest Broadway pop-up party? This time, the intimate evening was hosted at the luscious Upper East Side townhouse of John Demsey (Group President of Estee Lauder). Demsey's home with its rich hues, magnificent art collection adorning the walls, and second floor living room was once home to Montgomery Clift in the early 1960s and was the hangout for luminaries such as Marilyn Monroe and Marlon Brando. So, it was only fitting that John's home embraced the second installment of Parlor Night to benefit Broadway Inspirational Voices Outreach Program.
