Just last night, The Public Theater celebrated its Annual Gala, HAIR TO HAMILTON, 50 Years of Revolutionary Musicals, at the Delacorte Theater. Directed by Daniel Sullivan, with musical direction by Rob Fisher and Nadia DiGiallonardo, the 90-minute concert featured songs from The Public's most beloved and groundbreaking musicals performed by some of the most celebrated voices in theater. As previously announced, Feinstein's/54Below, Broadway's supper club, has will present Eating Raoul: In Concert, starring The Skivvies and Roe Hartrampf, for two performances on January 5th, 2017.

The Skivvies (Lauren Molina & Nick Cearley) are joined by Miley Cyrus (played by Leslie McDonel of AMERICAN IDIOT, LEGALLY BLONDE, & HAIRSPRAY) to explain that twerking has been around for ages. The national tour of Green Day's 'American Idiot' just opened in Los Angeles on March 14 at the Ahmanson Theatre. Original Broadway cast member Van Hughes stars as Johnny, a role in which he concluded the 'American Idiot' Broadway run, along with original Broadway cast member Joshua Kobak as St. Jimmy, Jake Epstein as Will, Scott J. Campbell as Tunny, original Broadway cast member Leslie McDonel as Heather, Gabrielle McClinton as Whatsername and Nicci Claspell as The Extraordinary Girl. Last night, September 28, Green Day frontman and the musical's composer/ co-author Billie Joe Armstrong made his Broadway debut as 'St. Jimmy' at the St. James Theatre in AMERICAN IDIOT. Armstrong will perform through Sunday, October 3, 2010. Immediately following this engagement, Mr. Armstrong will join Green Day in Caracas, Venezuela on October 8, 2010 to kick off their South American Tour. Sands, who was nominated in 2007 for his role in JOURNEY'S END, plays Tunny in the Green Day musical.
