Cardinal Theatricals presents the Off Broadway premiere of Mrs. Smith's Broadway Cat-tacular!, an all-singing, all-dancing 'demented cabaret on acid,' created and performed by New York based writer/actor and performance artist David Hanbury. Joining Mrs. Smith onstage will be her two 'Broadway Boys' Brandon Haagenson and Ken Lear. Directed by Andrew Rasmussen, performances begin tonight, July 10th, at the 47th Street Theatre (304 West 47th Street - between 8th & 9thAvenue). Opening Night is set for Monday, July 20th at 7:30pm. Performances will continue through September 20th.

The Spice Kids, featuring cast members from the Broadway companies of A CHRISTMAS STORY, MATILDA and ANNIE, recently performed a catchy medley of songs by The Spice Girls as part of PUTTIN' ON THE BRITS to benefit BC/EFA at the Laurie Beechman. Check it out below!

'In this song, the character has recently come back from fighting in Vietnam, and while he was expecting a hero's welcome - he's faced with the reality of the country he's come back to. He wanted more than anything to make his father proud by being courageous back in war, but he's haunted by the idea that maybe he wasn't.'

This week's spotlight shines on Landon Braverman and Derek Hassler, featuring OVER THE RAINBOW winner Danielle Wade performing their song 'Thin Ice' at 54 Below. The setting for the original song is inspired by a cabin Hassler's family used to own in Wisconsin.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, the five-time Tony Award-nominated Rock of Ages announced today that 'Big Brother' star Frankie J. Grande will return to Broadway in the smash-hit musical beginning November 10, 2014. Grande will star in the role of 'Franz' - the free-spirited son of German developer Hertz Klineman, who threatens to tear down the Sunset Strip - through January 18, 2015.
