Watch as Tony Award nominee Elizabeth Stanley sings 'Back to Before' from Ragtime at 54 Below. In celebration of Women’s History Month, acclaimed women musical theatre writers who are Council members of the Dramatists Guild of America gathered at 54 Below to share stories and introduce some of the songs they’ve written from Broadway and beyond.

Starting Friday, February 10 at 8PM, the 2023 Kleban Prize for Musical Theatre ceremony will stream, for free, on the Broadway On Demand SmartTV channel. 

The all-star cast of Kerry Ellis, Ramin Karimloo, Victoria Hamilton-Barritt and Norman Bowman, directed by Sam Yates, have brought hit American musical MURDER BALLAD to the Arts Theatre. Watch Ellis and Karimloo perform 'Mouth Tattoo' onstage below!

This weekend, the casts of more than 30 West End shows perform for free in Trafalgar Square! WEST END LIVE 2016 took place yesterday, 18 June (11am-6pm) and today, 19 June (12pm-6pm). One of today's performances featured Ramin Karimloo and Kerry Ellis belting out a tune for MURDER BALLAD. Both performers are set to appear in the UK Premiere of the musical this fall. Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma continues its new works initiative this fall with BERNICE BOBS HER HAIR, a world premiere musical that will take its first bows at Lyric's Plaza Theatre. The show, written by the lauded pair of Adam Gwon and Julia Jordan, runs October 7 through 25. Based on the F. Scott Fitzgerald short story of the same name, the show tells the story of 18 year old Bernice Harvey's journey from socially awkward to the belle of the country club- and back again.  Check out a first look at highlights below!

Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer and Managing Director Maggie Boland announce the full lineup for Signature Theatre's 2015/16 season. “Signature's 26th season continues our commitment to presenting new works and reinventing great American musicals. We're proud that this season also highlights daring new plays by female playwrights,” stated Signature Theatre Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer. “I'm excited to work with so many talented artists in the coming year.”

To promote their upcoming production of LES MISERABLES, the Orlando Shakespeare Theatre recently held a flash mob at the Mall of Millenia. In this video, the actors converge from all corners of the mall as they sing the rousing, now iconic song, 'One Day More,' complete with the familiarly choreographed 'Les Mis walk' and of course a red flag. The Dramatists Guild's Anti-Piracy Committee just hosted their first-ever Anti-Piracy awareness event on Monday, April 21. During the event, established and up-and-coming musical theatre writers paired up to reach out to known sheet music pirates and ask them to take down the links to their sheet music. The day is intended to raise awareness about the problem of sheet music piracy and take steps against the digital distribution of stolen sheet music.
