Billy Elliot made a huge splash in London in 2005 before it crossed the Atlantic. The Broadway production opened at the Imperial Theatre on November 13, 2008, where it remained for over three years and 1312 performances. The show made Tony winners of its three pint-sized leading men (David Álvarez, Trent Kowalik and Kiril Kulish) and picked up nine other Tonys that season. The production also notabley starred Haydn Gwynne, Gregory Jbara and a young, future Tony-winner, Santino Fontana.

Multiple Emmy and Golden Globe winner Ed Asner and Emmy and Golden Globe Nominee Marion Ross (Happy Days, Brothers & Sisters, Gilmore Girls), join an award-winning cast for a limited-time performance of a new sitcom, I've Got a Life in Kalamazoo, produced by the Emmy award-winning team of Teresa L. Thome and Patrick W. Ziegler of fubble entertainment, LLC. The performances take place at the Museum of Broadcast Communications (MBC) April 13 and 14, and will be filmed in front of a live audience, which will be used to pitch the show to network executives. Yesterday, June 22, Billy Elliot welcomed their 1,500,000th audience member at matinee performance. As patrons entered the theatre, tickets were scanned and the lucky, 1.5Mth audience member was revealed during the curtain call. The City of New York and the United States Navy and Fleet Week Committee celebrated the 24th annual Fleet Week, last week through May 30, 2011. Fleet Week is America's premier tribute and 'thank you' to the men and women who serve in the armed forces. On Friday, May 27, cast members from current Broadway shows PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT, ANYTHING GOES, JERSEY BOYS, CHICAGO, MAMMA MIA and ROCK OF AGES performed for the troops.
