Will Roland joined AM to DM by BuzzFeed News this morning to discuss his return to Broadway as the star in the new musical, 'Be More Chill,' his real-life take on high school, how social media has affected theatre, and what Broadway revival he'd love to star in. During the interview he spoke about 1776 saying, 'I love 1776. It's a great show that does not get enough credit. It's all about this short, loud man screaming America into existence.'

MT Shorts just released its first original musical short film, "Hey, Beautiful!" by award-winning composing team Nat Zegree and Eric Holmes, starring Ashley Loren and directed by Kenneth Ferrone.

The New York Lottery and McCann New York have teamed up to create a new ad showing that the odds of falling in love with a stranger on the street are even smaller than winning the lotto. The commercial, composed by Be More Chill's Joe Iconis, shows a young couple who meet crossing the street. They proceed to sing a romantic song about how great they are for each other before realizing they just don't have much in common.

On September 16th, 2016 Masterworks Broadway released the World Premiere Recording of the award winning new hit Polkadots: The Cool Kids Musical. Written by Douglas Lyons, Melvin Tunstall, III and Greg Borowsky, Polkadots is a new musical inspired by the true events of the Civil Rights pioneers Ruby Bridges and The Little Rock Nine. The album's release will be celebrated in a concert presentation on Monday October 24th at The Cutting Room, and BroadwayWorld has a look behind the scenes with the cast in the studio!

Ghostlight Records and Two River Theater have released the Original Cast Recording of the new musical BE MORE CHILL in digital formats today, October 30. Check out a special 'Making of the Cast Album' video -- featuring several songs along with exclusive footage of the recording session, the production and interviews with the cast and creative team -- below! The international digital release will be on Friday, November 13; with physical CDs in stores and online Friday, December 18.

Last month, twenty of the brightest talents on Broadway were featured in Broadway Sings Bruno Mars, the latest concert in the Broadway Sings series. The tribute series takes the music of well-known music icons and creates new, unique arrangements and orchestrations by twisting the style to fit the strength of the performer. Previous concerts have included Adele, Stevie Wonder, and Justin Timberlake; this November, producer Corey Mach (Godspell, Wicked) and music director Joshua Stephen Kartes will present Broadway Sings Sara Bareilles.?

Two River Theater presents the world premiere of Be More Chill, a new musical with music and lyrics by Joe Iconis and book by Joe Tracz, based on the acclaimed 2004 novel by Ned Vizzini. The press opening is tonight, June 5, and performances will continue through Sunday, June 21 in Two River's Rechnitz Theater, 21 Bridge Avenue, Red Bank, NJ. On Oct 29, award-winning composer/lyricist Bobby Cronin made his concert debut at 54 Below. The songs performed were selected from his musicals: W2ML (under a Broadway option), Sunset City (Running Deer Theatre Lab 2013), The Concrete Jungle (workshop March 2014), Daybreak (London's Tristan Bates Theatre 2012), and 'Til Death Do Us Part (2012 Alec Baldwin Fellowship Winner).

THE CONCRETE JUNGLE will have a CD Release Concert at the Cutting Room on March 6 featuring: Kate Shindle as Vanessa, Marissa Rosen as Abby, Nick Dalton as Guy, Jason Gotay as Simon, Anne Brummel as Claire, Jodi Bluestein as Katie, and Geoffrey Kidwell as Dunkan. The concert will also feature songs from the Broadway bound W2ML performed by Gerard Canonico and Mallory Bechtel, the award winning DAYBREAK performed by Erik Sisco, and the 2012 Alec Baldwin Fellowship recipient 'TIL DEATH DO US PART performed by Ward Billeisen, Jackie Vanderbeck, Brett Teresa & Lizzie Hagstedt.
