In this video, Broadway Sessions welcomes back performers who have been showcased in the show’s ‘Rising Star’ segment. At every show, Ben features performers who have yet to tread the boards on Broadway to perform alongside current Broadway talent. Many of whom have gone on to perform on Broadway and beyond. 

Broadway Sessions celebrated their long-awaited re-opening night this past Thursday, October 21, at the Laurie Beechman Theatre. Hosted by Ben Cameron with music direction by Joshua Stephen Kartes, it was a joyful evening with performances by Broadway favorites.

Just last month, the Broadway at Birdland concert series presented songwriter Jonathan Reid Gealt, who celebrated the release of his new cd, 'Whatever I Want It To Be,' with a concert at the historic music room starring a bevy of Broadway stars. The cast included vocalists Jane Monheit, Loren Allred, Whitney Bashor, and Addi McDaniel and Michael Deleget. Check out highlights from the concert below.

In January, twenty of the brightest talents on Broadway were featured in Broadway Sings P!NK, the latest concert in the Broadway Sings concert series. The tribute concerts take the music of well-known music icons and create new, unique arrangements and orchestrations by twisting the style to fit the strength of the performer. Previous concerts have included Adele, Stevie Wonder, and Justin Timberlake; this May, producer Corey Mach (Godspell, Wicked) and music directorJoshua Stephen Kartes will present Broadway Sings Bruno Mars. After a sold-out first edition, Broadway's best writers and performers teamed together again to help raise funds for children with special needs in New York City and around the world. Victor Legra, Anthony Crouchelli & M.O.V.E for Autism presented 'Putting the Pieces Together: Volume 2' featuring the music of Carner and Gregor, Rosser and Sohne, Maglione and Ruiz, Joey Contreras, Justin Anthony Long, Jonathan Lee & Joanna Burns; David Dabbon, and Will Van Dyke. 54 Below just welcomed a part of its December line-up for a special performance preview, including the cast of 'HIT LIST' -- a fictional musical created for NBC's popular series SMASH. Jeremy Jordan (Newsies, The Last 5 Years), Andy Mientus (Carrie, Spring Awakening), Krysta Rodriguez (First Date ,The Addams Family), and Carrie Manolakos (Wicked, Mamma Mia!) will star in the concert production, and BroadwayWorld's Richard Ridge was there to share in their excitement about the project.
