On last night's LATE NIGHT, Whoopi Goldberg and Dustin Lance Black walked Seeth through how their chance meeting at the 2009 Academy Awards kicked off their partnership in the LGBT docudrama miniseries WHEN WE RISE.

This February, ABC will present WHEN WE RISE, written and created by Academy Award winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black.

ABC continues its commitment to distinctive storytelling with the announcement of its 2016-17 slate of programming, including the addition of nine new series. Channing Dungey, president, ABC Entertainment, will unveil the network's new lineup to the advertising and media communities this afternoon at Lincoln Center's David Geffen Hall, in New York City. With book, music and lyrics by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, Grease will be directed by Daniel Goldstein with original choreography by JoAnn M. Hunter. Additional songs are by John Farrar, Barry Gibb, Scott Simon and Louis St. Louis. Grease plays the Millburn, New Jersey, theater through June 29, 2014. Broadway star Cheyenne Jackson appeared on this week's 'Watch What Happens, Live!' on Bravo hosted by Andy Cohen. The American Foundation for Equal Rights (AFER) and Broadway Impact have announced the addition of Golden Globe-winner and Academy and Emmy Award-nominee Brad Pitt to the cast of the West Coast premiere reading of the play '8.' The reading is an unprecedented account of the Federal District Court trial in Perry v. Schwarzenegger (now Perry v. Brown), the case filed by AFER to overturn Proposition 8, which stripped gay and lesbian Californians of the right to marry. Watch the video announcement below.
