The Swing Set, a new album from six-time MAC Award winner Jim Caruso, was released on January 11th. This is Caruso's sophomore album, and his first release under the Yellow Sound Label. Recently, Broadway favorite - and Caruso fan - Stephanie J. Block (9 to 5, The Pirate Queen, Wicked, The Boy From Oz) spoke with Caruso about creating the album, for which she recorded a guest spot. On Monday, September 27, Gramercy Park Hotel hosted the next installment of The Rose Bar Sessions, a series of intimate exclusive performances for a hand picked crowd, featuring a live performance by music legend Liza Minnelli. VIP guests including Mary Louise Parker along with her new boyfriend Charlie Mars, Sandra Bernhard, Tony Danza and Alan Cumming were on-hand as Minnelli performed tracks off of her new album, Confessions, which debuted on September 21.

As BroadwayWorld has previously reported Liza Minnelli released the most intimate and revealing recording of her career, Confesssions, Today, September 21st (Decca). A collection of American classics, Confessions features some of Minnelli's favorite songs of all time, arranged simply and elegantly, with accompaniment by her long-time pianist Billy Stritch.

The legendary Liza Minnelli appeared on The Joy Behar Show on Wednesday, May 26.
