Following last night's performance of Anastasia, history was made when the original Anya, Liz Callaway, reunited with Broadway's, Christy Altomare, for a special duet performance of 'Journey to the Past' at curtain call.

The new Broadway musical Anastasia has teamed with the global leader in family history and consumer genomics: ANCESTRY. Every night, the title character in the new Broadway musical Anastasia, goes on a journey to discover her past and connect to the family and history she once had. For the launch of the collaboration, Anastasia & ANCESTRY completed AncestryDNA and family research history on the musical's authors, leading actors and producers. The new musical, ANASTASIA, opens tonight on Broadway at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street), produced by Stage Entertainment, Bill Taylor (Sister Act, Rocky), Tom Kirdahy (It's Only A Play, The Visit) and Hunter Arnold (Kinky Boots, Spring Awakening). The company is led by Christy Altomare, Derek Klena, John Bolton, Ramin Karimloo, Caroline O'Connor and Mary Beth Peil.
Stage Entertainment USA and Sylvester Stallone have announced that the new musical, ROCKY, will come to Broadway in 2014, beginning preview performances in February and officially opening in March at Broadway's historic Winter Garden Theatre. ROCKY received its world premiere in fall 2012 in Hamburg, Germany.
The paper reports that 'the Broadway version is expected to cost about $15 million, according to Bill Taylor of Stage Entertainment USA, which is producing 'Rocky' on Broadway with Mr. Stallone.' and that 'The Broadway production is expected to be fairly similar to the one in Hamburg, Mr. Taylor said, including the finale - Rocky's climatic fight against Apollo in a regulation-size boxing ring - and the use of music from the movies, like Bill Conti's theme music and 'Eye of the Tiger.'
