To celebrate the 5th anniversary of Aladdin on Broadway, 5 current and former Genies stopped the show following today's matinee with a medley of Aladdin hits at the New Amsterdam Theatre. The 5 Genies were Tony Award winner James Monroe Iglehart, current star Michael James Scott, tour Genie Major Attaway, and current Broadway Genie standbys Juwan Crawley and Deonte L. Warren.

MCC Theater will soon present the New York Premiere production of BLKS, written by Aziza Barnes, and directed by Robert O'Hara. The cast will feature Marie Botha, Antoinette Crowe-Legacy, Alfie Fuller, Paige Gilbert, Chris Myers and Coral Peña. The creative team for BLKS includes scenic design by Clint Ramos, costume design by Dede Ayite, lighting design by Alex Jainchill, sound design by Palmer Hefferan, and casting by Telsey + Company/Adam Caldwell,CSA, William Cantler, CSA, Karyn Casl, CSA. The Production Stage Manager is Brett Anders.

SHOWTIME has released the official key art and trailer for its new feature-length documentary THE RESURGENCE: DeMARCUS COUSINS, premiering on Saturday, April 13 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The SHOWTIME Sports Documentary Films original chronicles Cousins, the Golden State Warriors' power forward, through his grueling comeback from a career-threatening injury and his path through free agency. THE RESURGENCE: DeMARCUS COUSINS provides unfettered access to one of the NBA's biggest personalities at the most crucial time of his career.

Symphony Siren and Broadway Diva N'Kenge (Motown: The Musical and Sondheim and Sondheim), is currently in Sophisticated Ladies, directed by Emmy Award Winner and multiple Tony Award Nominee Andre De Shields with choreography by Kimberly Schafer alongside other Broadway veterans and young stars.

Rehearsals are underway for MTC's INK, which will begin previews Tuesday, April 2 prior to a Wednesday, April 24 opening night at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street). The Wallis Annenberg Center for Performing Arts presents the West Coast premiere of The Wallis' production of WITNESS UGANDA, a groundbreaking documentary musical by Matt Gould and Griffin Matthews starring twelve-time Grammy nominee Ledisi, Jamar Williams (Wild Goose Dreams), Amber Iman (Hamilton) and Emma Hunton (Wicked), directed by Matthews with music direction by Gould, from Tuesday, February 5 - Sunday, February 24, 2019, in The Wallis's Lovelace Studio Theater. After a successful Off-Broadway run, this new and revised production documents the story of a man battling to find his place in a world full of injustice and inhumanity.

Netflix has released the official trailer for the second season of Marvel's The Punisher, which is premiering Globally on Netflix January 18th.
