Encores! Artistic Director Jack Viertel today announced casting for the Encores! production of Do I Hear a Waltz?, the romantic, rarely-seen 1965 musical that marked the only collaboration of Richard Rodgers and Stephen Sondheim. Do I Hear a Waltz? will star Claybourne Elder, Melissa Errico, Sarah Hunt, Zachary Infante, Cass Morgan, Richard Poe, Michael Rosen, Sarah Stiles, and Richard Troxell. The ensemble includes Kristine Bendul, Paloma Garcia-Lee, Jenny Laroche, Jennifer Locke, Nathan Madden, Skye Mattox, Devin Roberts, Manny Stark, and Alex Wong.

Theatre for a New Audience Extends PERICLES, Starring Christian Camargo

Jeffrey Horowitz, Theatre for a New Audience Founding Artistic Director, has just announced an extension of PERICLES through Sunday, April 10 at Polonsky Shakespeare Center, 262 Ashland Place, due to wide acclaim and box office demand. PERICLES by William Shakespeare, with music composed by Shaun Davey and directed by Trevor Nunn, features OBIE Award-winner Christian Camargo in the title role and leading a company of 22 actors.

Rehearsals recently began for Theatre for a New Audience's production of William Shakespeare's PERICLES directed by Trevor Nunn, featuring OBIE Award-winner Christian Camargo in the title role and leading a diverse company of 22 actors. Rehearsals begin today (Monday, January 4) for Theatre for a New Audience's production of William Shakespeare's Pericles directed by Trevor Nunn, featuring OBIE Award-winner Christian Camargo in the title role and leading a diverse company of 22 actors, Jeffrey Horowitz, Theatre for a New Audience Founding Artistic Director, announced. 

Will Swenson & More to Join Christian Camargo in PERICLES Off-Broadway

Theatre for a New Audience, Jeffrey Horowitz, Founding Artistic Director, will present William Shakespeare's Pericles directed by Trevor Nunn, featuring OBIE Award-winner Christian Camargo in the title role and leading a diverse company of twenty-two actors. Pericles marks Mr. Camargo's third Shakespeare title role for Theatre for a New Audience, and the first time not only that Trevor Nunn has directed this play, but the first time he has directed a Shakespeare with a U.S. company.  The production begins previews February 14 and opens February 25 for a scheduled run through March 27 at Polonsky Shakespeare Center, 262 Ashland Place.

Theatre for a New Audience to Host Staged Reading of Bachman, Sokolow & Brown's IN REAL LIFE

Collaborators Trevor Bachman (The Nomad at The Flea Theater, Pyre Cantata at HERE Arts Center), Jonathan Sokolow (Bravo, Story Pirates), and Joshua Brown (Funny or Die, Night of the Living Beanie Babies) are at it again with an updated version of their new musical, IN REAL LIFE, presented this time at Theatre for a New Audience's Polonsky Shakespeare Center at 262 Ashland Pl on Tuesday, November 3rd. This is the second phase in the development of the piece, coming out of a successful reading at Tisch School of the Arts in late-May 2015. Producers, Zachary Infante (TFANA) and Sydney Blaxill (The Flea Theater), have organized a closed reading to present the new draft to designers and collaborators.

THE CALICO BUFFALO Set for NYMF, Now thru 7/16

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) in association with Bosc Publishing Company, Inc. presents The Calico Buffalo a new musical fable with book, music and lyrics by EJ Stapleton, and music and lyrics by Grammy Award-winning composer Peter Stopschinski. Craig J. George directs a cast of ten, including Jennifer Apple, Rachel Coloff*, Rhys Gilyeat*, Zachary Infante*, Stephen Mark, Anthea Neri*, Rachel Rhodes-Devey*, Brooke Shapiro*, Kevin Sims*, and Max Wilcox*. The Calico Buffalo is being staged at PTC Performance Space, 555 West 42nd Street (bet. 10th & 11th Avenues) in NYC for five performances from tonight, July 8 through Thursday, July 16, 2015. *Appearing courtesy of Actors' Equity Association.
