Judy talks about her love for Joni Mitchell, what the album means to her, and how it inspired her career. She also talks about her vocal training and how she has healthily maintained her exquisite voice over the years. Judy has appeared in a number of beloved shows, including 'The Mystery of Edwin Drood,' 'Les Misérables,' 'Chess,' 'She Loves Me,' 'Sunset Boulevard,' and 'Fun Home.' She will also appear in Classic Stage Company's upcoming Off-Broadway revival of 'Assassins.' Judy sang the title role in the 1995 Disney film 'Pocahontas,' including the Academy Award-winning song 'Colors of the Wind.'

It is an opportunity to return to a play he not only finds deeply moving, but one he has experienced as both an actor, director, and now as an actor, again.

As the inaugural show at the newly opened Amani Palladium Theater, LSPR Teatro's THE KING AND I was satisfyingly entertaining, though with some obvious room for improvement. The production ran for four days from 21 through 24 November 2019 and was directed by Bartolomeus K. Putra.

LSPR TEATRO, the theater club of Jakarta's,London School of Public Relations, announced their production of 2019: Rodgers and Hammerstein's THE KING AND I. This production will also mark their first performance in the AMANI PALLADIUM THEATRE, LSPR's new theatre located in their newly opened Bekasi location at TransPark Juanda. When bookwriter Chris D'Arienzo's 1980s hair-band tuner Rock of Ages moved from Off-Broadway's New World Stages to the Brooks Atkinson Theatre in April of 2009 - with a score made up of rock classics by Journey, Styx, Asia, Twisted Sister, Bon Jovi, Foreigner and a bunch of others - it was, to this reviewer's recollection, the first Broadway jukebox musical to acknowledge the silliness of jamming hit songs into an unrelated story.

On this day in 1985 legendary actor Yul Brynner returns to Broadway for the final time in a revival of The King and I starring Mary Beth Peil at the Broadway Theatre.

Facts and trivia surrounding the original production of 'The King And I,' which starred Gertrude Lawrence and Yul Brynner. Lawrence would die of liver cancer a little more than a year into the run, at the age of 54.
