Arena Stage has decided to change the life of one lucky, local talent by opening auditions to the D.C. area for the role of Yolanda in the theater's upcoming production of Crowns. The Finding Yolanda Casting Search will be an all-day event on Saturday, January 3, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Lincoln Theatre (1215 U Street, NW, Washington, DC 20009).

The Looking Glass Theatre presents its newest children's show, ADVENTURES OF THE PUPPET PRINCESS, a Balinese fairytale with music written and directed by Fulbright recipient Jennifer Goodlander, which opens Saturday, October 18 and plays through Sunday, November 23. Performances will be Saturdays at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

The 22ND ANNUAL BROADWAY FLEA MARKET & GRAND AUCTION was held this Sunday, September 21 from 10 AM - 7 PM in Shubert Alley (225 West 45th Street). Celebrities of theater and daytime television came out to show their support.
