Adult casting has been announced for the 10th Anniversary Australian Tour of Billy Elliot the Musical which opens at Sydney Lyric Theatre in October 2019 followed by seasons in Melbourne at the Regent Theatre from February 2020, Crown Theatre Perth from June 2020, QPAC's Lyric Theatre in Brisbane from July 2020 and the Festival Theatre at Adelaide Festival Centre from September 2020.

Award-winning storyteller, playwright, and Bay Area local Brenda Wong Aoki is pleased to announce that she has been selected as a recipient of a Hewlett 50 Arts Commission, a program of the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation to commission new works by world-class artists. Wong Aoki, in collaboration with the Center for Asian American Media (CAAM), is among a stellar group of 10 Bay Area based non-profit organizations that will receive $150,000 to create important and unique work that facilitates discussions around the most pressing local issues happening in our country.

The Drama League (Gabriel Stelian-Shanks, Executive Artistic Director) has announced the theater directors chosen to develop new plays and musicals as part of the 2019 Drama League Artist Residency Program. Ad Infinitum have announced the highlight of their next season as Extraordinary Wall of Silence (working title), a new show which delves into a relatively unknown history of oppression of the Deaf community in order to draw attention to and celebrate an under-threat culture. From Oralists who wanted to make deaf people speak and 'hear', to the Eugenics movement which aimed to eradicate deafness through sterilisation and extermination, to more recent threats from ignorance in mainstream society and the closing of Deaf Clubs, the new show will present the challenges the Deaf community have faced. Made with three Deaf and two hearing actors, the show will facilitate a long overdue encounter between the two worlds, shining a light onto a culture that isn't widely recognised in the mainstream media.

It has been announced that ballet star Robert Fairchild has been added to the cast of the upcoming film adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber's CATS.
