Nickelodeon is unveiling a new content slate created for today's kids who are multicultural, family-focused, and in control of their entertainment choices across platforms. With a foundation of supercharging its globally powerful original franchises like SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and PAW Patrol, and welcoming new, acquired properties into its ecosystem, Nickelodeon's new slate represents a renewing of its commitment to serve all kids, through a multicultural lens; bringing in talent kids love from other platforms and formats; and opening up its demo to capture kid and parent co-viewing, to satisfy this generation's demand for shared family time.

STUDIOCANAL, Nickelodeon and award-winning producer David Heyman today announced a global deal for a brand-new 'Paddington' (working title) television series for preschoolers. Actor Ben Whishaw (Paddington 1 & 2) will reprise his role as the beloved voice of the title character in the new CG-animated series, which follows the adventures of a younger Paddington. 'Paddington' will air on Nickelodeon's networks worldwide in 2020, while local broadcast partners will be secured in France, Canada, China and Japan.

Raised in total seclusion in the remote woods of Eastern Europe, 15-year-old Hanna (Esmé Creed-Miles) has spent her entire young life training to fight those who hunt her and her mercenary father, Erik Heller (Joel Kinnaman). Her survivalist skills are finally tested when she and Erik are separated upon their discovery by a rogue CIA operative, Marissa Wiegler (Mireille Enos) and her team of agents. 

Lifetime heads across the pond with a follow-up to the 2018 hit movie following the romantic journey of Prince Harry and American actress Meghan Markle with the sequel, Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal (working title).

The Case Against Adnan Syed, four-part documentary series directed by Amy Berg, debuts March 10, exclusively on HBO.

Cameron Mackintosh today (6 February 2019) announces that for 16 weeks only Michael Ball (Javert), Alfie Boe (Jean Valjean),Carrie Hope Fletcher (Fantine) and Matt Lucas (Thénardier) will lead a large cast and orchestra of over sixty-five in the concert version of Les Misérables.  Katy Secombe also joins to play Madame Thénardier and for three performances a week, the role of Jean Valjean will be played by John Owen-Jones.  Further casting will be announced shortly.

Today, Freeform announced that Jordin Sparks (“Sparkle”), Matt Shively (“The Real O'Neals”) and newcomer Brooks Brantly have been cast in the highly anticipated new comedy series “Besties” (working title).

Idris Elba is currently in talks to star in MGM's supernatural thriller “Deeper,” according to Variety.

CNBC today announced the network's latest investment in primetime. Beginning in May, a slate of new and returning originals focused on real estate will join the network's primetime lineup. The network has greenlit three new originals including 'Listing Impossible,' which follows superstar real estate agent Aaron Kirman and his team as they work to sell extravagant, multi-million dollar estates that have been languishing on the market; 'Cash Pad' (working title), a home renovation series in which Bachelorette couple-turned-home flippers JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers transform ordinary homes and apartments into lucrative short-term rental properties; and 'Five Day Business Flip' (working title), which features a husband-and-wife design duo who remodel small businesses by creating additional money-making operations for them and do it all in just five days.

Germaul Barnes, a NY-based contemporary dance artist with a global approach to movement, will appear as a panelist and master educator at the International Association of Blacks in Dance Conference & Festival in Dayton, OH, January 22-27, 2019. Barnes is a member of the IABD Next Generation Committee and will teach three master classes and serve on a panel with the Coalition for Diasporan Scholars Moving (CDSM) during the conference.
