Cherry Jones, Raúl Esparza and More Set for Sundance Institute 2012 Theatre Lab

Sundance Institute today announced the acting company and creative advisors for the eight projects being developed at its 2012 Theatre Lab, July 9-29 at the Sundance Resort. Under the supervision of Philip Himberg, Producing Artistic Director, and Associate Director Christopher Hibma, the Lab is the centerpiece of the Theatre Program's year-round work and is designed to support emerging and established artists and to create a place where their original work can be effectively mentored and challenged.

CONAN Charts Big Ratings Gains For TBS

TBS's late-night series CONAN, which has been riding a wave of growth in recent months, charted exceptional gains again last week. The Emmy(R)-nominated series averaged 1,016,000 viewers in Live + Same Day for June 25-28, up +16% over the prior week and +7% over the June average. In addition, the show's total audience was up +14% over the same week in 2011.

TNT Greenlights Fourth Season of RIZZOLI & ISLES

TNT has ordered a fourth season of its hit drama RIZZOLI & ISLES, from Warner Horizon Television. The series has drawn 7.1 million viewers in its new Tuesday 9 p.m. timeslot and ranks as summer's #1 returning scripted series on basic cable. TNT has ordered 15 episodes of Rizzoli & Isles, with the fourth season slated for 2013.

TNT Orders Second Season of Ratings Blockbuster DALLAS

Ben Cook and Noah Parets Join BILLY ELLIOT's National Tour

Universal Pictures Stage Productions, Working Title Films, Old Vic Productions and NETworks Presentations, LLC announced today that Ben Cook and Noah Parets will join the national touring cast of the 10-time Tony Award-winning Billy Elliot the Musical, in the role of 'Billy.' Cook and Parets will become the 10th and 11th young actors to perform as 'Billy' in the national tour; their debuts will also mark the 65th and 66th boys to play 'Billy' on stage worldwide and the 26th and 27th boys to play 'Billy' in North America since the show opened on Broadway. Their first performance dates will be announced soon.

Helen Mirren to Play The Queen on Broadway and West End in THE AUDIENCE?

Dame Helen Mirren is currently considering a role as Queen Elizabeth II in THE AUDIENCE, a play about the Queen's reign so far by Peter Morgan (The Queen, Frost/Nixon) in the West End this fall and on Broadway in spring 2013, according to the New York Post. Stephen Daldry (Billy Elliot) has been tipped to direct the play, which will humanise the Queen by mixing stories of her private and public lives.
