This production of NEWSIES, directed and choreographed by Jerry Jay Cranford and assisted by Christina Burton, features a cast of twenty-two dancers and singers, plus constantly in motion LED backdrops, a bridge flown high off the stage floor, combined with three matching stair/tower units strategically moving about the stage, and an eleven-piece orchestra.

Disney Channel and stage star Garrett Clayton is set to appear in a feature film from Glen Evelyn. Titled Our Family Pride, the movie is said to explore 'the personal journey of a family that comes together through conflict and difficult times, amid finding out their father is gay later in life.'

FIDDLER ON THE ROOF premiered on Broadway on September 22, 1964. For the past 60-years it has been part of the fabric of the American musical theatre. This Friday evening, when FIDDLER ON THE ROOF opens at The Muny, the fiddler will be perched high upon a rooftop in Forest Park and play those familiar iconic notes. Adam Heller, as Tevye, and the rest of the cast will take the stage and sing about the importance of tradition in their village of Anatevka.

BroadwayWorld has learned that CATS: The Jellicle Ball, now in performances at PAC NYC, recently canceled a performance due to illness in the cast. The matinee performance set for Sunday, July 14 did not go on, which was announced last-minute, as attendees were arriving to the theatre.
