Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) will end its 2014-2015 season with the Shakespeare classic A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Harriet S. Jorgensen Theatre between April 23rd and May 3rd. The comedy of mistaken love and magic is sure to delight audiences.

Independent Shakespeare Co. (ISC), announces THE SPRING FROLIC, a benefit to celebrate and support the Griffith Park Free Shakespeare Festival, the annual summer presentation of 10 weeks of 40 classical theater performances, education workshops, pre-show arts performances and salon-style discussions, all presented admission-free. ISC is the 2015 recipient of the prestigious Margaret Harford Award for Sustained Excellence as voted by the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle.
Darko Tresnjak to Direct KISS ME, KATE in Connecticut & San Diego

Artistic Director Darko Tresnjak will helm Kiss Me, Kate-his first musical since winning the 2014 Tony Award for Best Direction of a Musical for A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder. A co-production with The Old Globe in San Diego, Kiss Me, Kate will play for only four weeks, from May 14-June 14.

Broadway veteran David Turner (On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, Arcadia, Sunday in the Park with George) will star in Jonathan Tolins's (The Twilight of the Golds) acclaimed Off Broadway hit, directed by Ron Lagomarsino (The Last Night of Ballyhoo, My Favorite Year, "Homefront," "Ravenswood").

Enjoying immediate success at the non-profit Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, Buyer & Cellar moved to the Barrow Street Theatre for an Off-Broadway run. Playing to sold-out houses for months, Buyer & Cellar received an Off-Broadway extension until April of 2014. Any theatre fan (and/or 9th grade literature student) will tell you that William Shakespeare had a true gift for coining beautiful phrases such as 'Shall I compare thee to a summer's day,' or 'It is the east, and Juliet is the sun.' But what are debatably better than his love poetry are his insults.
