SUPERGRAVITY Pictures has acquired rights to Maya Newell's award-winning documentary feature GAYBY BABY and will distribute the film this spring. The release is in partnership with Heard Well, the first music label powered by social tastemakers. Event theatrical screenings for GAYBY BABY in over 50 cities starts April 1, 2016, ahead of the VOD/EST release date of May 1, 2016, including Today, April 6, 2016 at 7:30PM PT as the special FOCUS presentation at the OUTFEST West Hollywood Series presented by SHOWTIME.

Lambda Literary is pleased to announce that John Waters will receive Lambda's Trustee Award for Excellence in Literature an Rita Mae Brown will receive the Pioneer Award at the 27th Annual Lambda Literary Awards ('Lammys'). Waters and Brown will be honored along with the winning authors of 24 separate LGBT literary categories as determined by over 90 judges. The Lammys bring together over 450 attendees, sponsors and celebrities to celebrate excellence in LGBT literature, making it the most glamorous and prestigious LGBT literary event in the world. The awards will be hosted for the fourth year in a row by comedienne Kate Clinton on Monday, June 1st in New York City at The Great Hall at Cooper Union (7 East 7th St @ 3rd Ave, New York City) with a pre-ceremony reception presented by Penguin Random House. A VIP After-Party presented by Scholastic will immediately follow the ceremony.

Theatre of NOTE continues the celebration of its 30th anniversary with an homage to its roots of producing orginal one act plays: Pity of Things, an evening of 5 one act plays written by, Jason Grote (Kawaisoo), Phinneas Kiyomura (The Little Darling), Bill Robens (Breaking), Tommy Smith (PTSD) and Delondra Williams (Desert Aria). The plays will be directed by Sabrina Lloyd (Kawaisoo), Phinneas Kiyomura (The Little Darling), Jaime Robledo, Sabina Ptasznik, Christopher William Johnson (Desert Aria). Pity of Things will preview on Thursday, July 14 at 8pm and will open on Friday, July 15th at 8pm and run through Saturday, August 7th at Theatre of NOTE, 1517 N. Cahuenga Blvd. (just North of Sunset) in Hollywood.
