Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles (1781 a?" 1826) spent most of his career as an East India Company official in Southeast Asia. He was appointed Lieutenant-Governor of Java in 1811 and assumed the Lieutenant Governorship of Sumatra in 1818. When he was Lieutenant-Governor of Java, for example, he ordered troops to attack the most powerful court, which still has consequences to this day. Luna Stage presents its annual Fall New Moon Play Reading Series on November 15th and 16th 2008. The Ohio Theatre has announced the final lineup of plays and actors for f**kplays, eight plays exploring humanity's basic instinct, carnal desires, and most private thoughts.

The 'f**kplays,' billed as 'a voyeuristic journey through eight playwrights' most private places and a sincere examination of our most basic carnal desires,' will premiere at the Ohio Theatre (66 Wooster St. btwn. Spring and Broome) on Wednesday, March 28th at 8 p.m.
