Opera Holland Park is one of the most popular and highly-acclaimed events in London's musical calendar and their 19th season includes a mixture of five new productions and revivals in 36 main-stage public performances. The City of London Sinfonia will accompany all these productions for their 12th year as house orchestra. A particular highlight is the first-ever professional London performance of Jonathan Dove's contemporary opera Flight. THe season runs Tuesday 2nd June - Saturday 1st August 2015.

The musical is about love, war, espionage and creative genius, and includes music written by Legere, who heads the cast of ten as Queen Elizabeth I. Director David Zen Mansley plays the Bard and trumpeter Rhys Tivey plays Robert Dudley, 1st Earl of Leicester, the Queen's noble heartthrob. Theater for the New City, 155 First Ave., will present this world premiere tonight, November 29 to December 15.
