After selling out within two days in 2013, Will Todd's much-loved Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is back this summer, one of the most charming, least condescending operas for children (The Telegraph). Michael Church of The Independent said it's a knock-out.

Performed in the woodland setting of the Yucca Lawn in Holland Park, the production sees viewers promenade between the eye-catching sets accompanied by the singers and the 'Alice Band'! One minute you'll be watching Alice fall down the rabbit hole and the next you will find yourself sitting at the Mad Hatters Tea Party. The open-air acoustics are magical and it's impossible not to be mesmerised and engrossed by the spectacular re-telling of this classic tale. Aimed at over 4s, it certainly kept dozens of very small children fully engaged (What's On Stage).

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland appeals to both adults and children of all ages. It's sung in English, there's no dress code and it's 75 minutes of amazing value for money with tickets priced at only £3.50 for children. Last year even saw people arrive wearing fabulous fancy dress.

Launched to coincide with this year's production is the new Alice website - www.aliceopera.com on which children can feedback and post their own artwork in the Curiouser and Curiouser gallery.

Last year, Opera Holland Park released an Alice single - I flew high in my dreams - on iTunes which flew to number 3 in the chart. This year's single, Wonderland Blues featuring Keel Watson as Caterpillar and Fflur Wyn as Alice will soon be available to buy and download.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland was the first original work to be commissioned by Opera Holland Park in its history.

Performances are at 3:00 pm and run today, July 19th, 21st, 25th, 26th, 29th and 30th, and 1st and 2nd August. The performance runs 75 minutes. Tickets prices are just £3.50 for children and £8.50 for adults from the Box Office by phone only on 0300 999 1000 from 28th April. If the summer weather isn't kind the show must go on and will take place under cover in The Theatre, Holland Park.
