Sarah Jessica Parker to Host La MaMa's 2015 Gala; Bridget Everett, Rufus Wainwright to Perform

La MaMa will honor film producer Joy Tomchin for her activism on behalf of the LGBTQ communities; Donn Russell for his commitment to and support of nontraditional theatre; and Roberta Uno for her leadership in philanthropy and cultural diversity at the annual La MaMa Gala on Monday, November 2nd at La MaMa's Ellen Stewart Theatre (66 E. 4 St.), it has been announced by Mia Yoo, the theater company's Artistic Director.

Piper Perabo Leads John Pollono's LOST GIRLS, Beginning Tonight at MCC Theater

MCC Theater presents the New York premiere of John Pollono's LOST GIRLS. Golden Globe nominated star of stage and screen, Piper Perabo-who recently completed five seasons of the USA's popular drama series 'Covert Affairs' for which she received a Golden Globe Award nomination, and was last seen onstage in the Broadway and MCC Theater productions of Neil LaBute's Reasons to be Pretty-stars alongside Ebon Moss-Bachrach (HBO's 'Girls'), Meghann Fahy (Next to Normal), Tasha Lawrence (Good People, The Whale), and newcomers Lizzy DeClement and Josh Green.

MCC Theater Taps Television Star to Lead John Pollono's LOST GIRLS; Full Cast Set

The Public Theater presents Cymbeline, the second show of The Public's Free Shakespeare in the Park season at the Delacorte. Directed by Tony Award winnerDaniel Sullivan and featuring the previously announced Hamish Linklater as Posthumus Leonatus/Cloten and Lily Rabe as Imogen, Cymbeline runs through Sunday, August 23, and opened last night, August 10. The Public began the Free Shakespeare in the Park season with THE TEMPEST.

American Blues Theater Adds SIDE MAN Saturday Matinees

Producing Artistic Director Gwendolyn Whiteside and American Blues Theater, Chicago's second oldest Equity ensemble, announce that two additional matinees, Saturday, May 16 and 23 at 3 p.m., have been added to the Tony Award-winning Side Man, written by Warren Leight, directed by Jonathan Berry, April 24 - May 24, at the Greenhouse Theater Center, 2257 N. Lincoln Ave. 'Pink Previews,' where tickets sales benefit the Lynn Sage Foundation for breast cancer research, are Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 26 at 2:30 p.m. Opening night is Thursday, April 30 at 7:30 pm. The performance schedule is Thursday - Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. with Saturday matinee performances May 16 and 23 at 3 p.m. Tickets for 'Pink Preview' performances are $19. Regular run performances tickets are $29 Thursdays and Fridays and $39 Saturdays and Sundays. Opening night tickets are $49 and include access to the post-show reception. Public Theater Extends Suzan-Lori Parks' FATHER COMES HOME FROM THE WARS

The Public Theater announced a second extension for the critically acclaimed FATHER COMES HOME FROM THE WARS (PARTS 1, 2 & 3), a world premiere play written by Public Theater Master Writer Chair Suzan-Lori Parks. Directed by Jo Bonney, FATHER COMES HOME FROM THE WARS (PARTS 1, 2 & 3) will now run through Sunday, December 7. It was originally scheduled to close on November 16 and extended the first time through November 30.

La MaMa will honor award-winning Olympia Dukakis for her creative achievement in the arts and her work as an activist for social change; and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom partner Dan Kurtz for his steadfast advocacy on behalf of nonprofit organizations at the La MaMa Earth Gala tonight, November 13th. Guests Include Austin Pendleton (who will toast Olympia), John Patrick Shanley, Matt Dillon, among others.
