Jazz at Lincoln Center Announces 'Songs We Love' Tour

Combining their distinct talents, the group will sing their way through four decades of music, beginning with the early blues and jazz of the 1920s and ending in the early 1950s. Mahogany L. Browne Appointed First Ever Poet-in-Residence at Lincoln Center

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts today announced Mahogany L. Browne as its first ever poet-in-residence. The residency, entitled “We Are The Work”, will feature a variety of in-person and virtual events, along with new poetry by Browne, commissioned specifically for the residency.

Bard SummerScape Announces BLACK ROOTS SUMMER

Bard SummerScape will celebrate the uplifting spirit of Black music with Black Roots Summer, presented in association with Electric Root and organized and led by the rousing vocalist, bandleader, cultural commentator, and anti-racism educator Michael Mwenso and his longtime collaborator Jono Gasparro, former curator of Ginny’s Supper Club in Harlem.

The Louis Armstrong House Museum has announced its new program Armstrong Now. In its inaugural season, contemporary Black artists respond to Louis Armstrong in an integrative video series that will roll out from October 5 through December 31, 2020, culminating in a series of live online discussions.
