"Moana" star Auli'i Cravalho will make her Hawai'i Symphony Orchestra  (HSO) debut in "A Night on the Red Carpet" on Friday, February 17 at 7:30 pm. Featuring a parade of hits under the direction of Maestro Richard Kaufman, "A Night on the Red Carpet" brings to life unforgettable film scores. The voice of Moana in the Disney blockbuster, Cravalho will perform "How Far I'll Go," written by Lin-Manuel Miranda and recently nominated for an Academy Award for Best Song. The HSO is thrilled to welcome Cravalho in this concert event that also showcases music from the award-winning soundtracks to "Gone with the Wind," "The Witches of Eastwick," "Forrest Gump," and many more. When a new model, Karin, enters the home of famous fashion designer Petra von Kant, Petra's world-and career-rocket to manic heights. But in the midst of Petra's euphoria, her submissive assistant, Marlene, senses a threat. When Karin becomes a superstar, leaving everything behind, Marlene picks up the broken pieces. What Marlene does with those pieces will dictate the rest of her life. Featuring an all-female cast and directed by Benjamin Viertel, Third Space's The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant delves into the tortured connections between desire and power in an industry driven by consumption.

Porning the Planet challenges our notion of how pornography has altered our social communication. Based on five years of  real life interviews with adult stars, Raquel Almazan returns to Dixon Place October 14th for a one-night-only performance of her solo show. A dark comedy developed in collaboration with Penny Arcade, this electric one hour journey melds Japanese Butoh dance and narrative performance through a multimedia experience to explore how our virtual world interacts with our "real world."
