West of 10th will present the New York premiere of American Dreamers by Lia Romeo at The Workshop Theater's Jewel Box Theater in New York City for a limited engagement beginning August 15th. The production follows its recent world premiere at Jersey City Theater Center in Summer of 2015.
The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University, under the leadership of Artistic Director Diane Paulus and Executive Producer Diane Borger, will offer a sensory friendly performance of Bedlam's Sense & Sensibility on Tuesday, January 9 at 6:30PM. The performance for adults and children ages 12 and up will be specially modified for individuals with sensory needs, including people on the autism spectrum and their families and caretakers. This expansion of the theater's access performances, which include ASL interpreted, audio described, open captioned, and family-friendly sensory friendly performances, reflects A.R.T.'s commitment to providing quality arts experiences for all.
BEDLAM'S SENSE & SENSIBILITY is Kate Hamill's adaptation of Jane Austen's classic woman-centered novel, a free-wheeling offering for the holiday season that is the right story at the right time. The ensemble cast embraces the spirit of play that is Bedlam's stock in trade, while conveying the power and beauty of Austen's language.

Written by Kate Hamill based on the novel by Jane Austen and directed by Eric Tucker, performances of the production recognized by The New York Times as having an audaciously high energy level will begin on Sunday, December 10, 2017, and continue through Sunday, January 14, 2018 at the Loeb Drama Center, 64 Brattle Street, in Cambridge.
Conceived by Alyssa May Gold and directed by Katie Young?, this epic story of jealousy and betrayal is given a modern day setting at an all-girls high school, where psychological warfare is unyielding. Six young women will play all roles in this coming-of-age story that follows a group of teenagers through their first tastes of power, the desire to seize it, and the life and death battle to keep it.
Pocket Universe presents a new, all-female production of William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar, starring Alyssa May Gold (Arcadia on Broadway, Middle of the Night) as Brutus, Dea Julien (West Side Story 1st Nat'l Tour, Blueprint Specials) as Julius Caesar, Violeta Picayo (BEDLAM's Sense & Sensibility, RadioBABEL) as Mark Antony, Madeline Wolf (Fun Home on Broadway, Normativity) as Cassius, Miranda Cornell (Alter Ego, #Blessed) as Casca, and Amie Tedesco (Lemon Sky, Any Day Now) as Lucius. All other roles will be played by members of the company. The production will run through July 8, 2017 at the Access Theater Gallery Space. Opening night is tonight, June 23.

Directed by Lynnsey Garegnani this production presents a plot in which the misogynistic elements in the text are given a new take to spark imagination and inspire the audience to hear an old story with new ears. The cast features Malloree Hill as Petruchio, Violeta Picayo as Katherine or the Shrew, and Shaunice Alexander, Laura Kruegel, Margret O'Mara, Betsy Rosen, Jessica Sorgi, and Marissa Stewart in multiple roles.
