Amazon has released the trailer for Troop Zero, starring Viola Davis, Mckenna Grace, Jim Gaffigan, Mike Epps and Allison Janney.

Acclaimed director Marion McClinton, best known for bringing the works of August Wilson to the Broadway stage, has died at age 65, according to StarTribune. He died on Thanksgiving morning, November 28, at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, after suffering from kidney disease.

The 8th Annual Key West Film Festival announces its official 2019 lineup including major fall films from Noah Baumbach and Destin Daniel Cretton. More than 115 films and V/R pieces will be shown during the 5-day festival, which runs November 20-24. Nearly half of the feature films at the festival will be Florida festival premieres.

Gilda's LaughFest, the nation's first ever community-wide festival of laughter and Outback Presents today announced that Jim Gaffigan will bring his a?oeThe Pale Tourista?? tour to Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids. Gaffigan will open the 10th year of Gilda's LaughFest on March 5 at 8 p.m. at Van Andel Arena in downtown Grand Rapids. Individual tickets for a?oeThe Pale Tourista?? go on sale Friday, Oct. 25 at 10 a.m. EDT and are available at ticketmaster.com and at the Van Andel Arena box office.

I requested a copy of the script and devoured it one weekend - I felt it was something special. I had a kinship with the writers, Cassiopeia Berkeley-Agyepong and Simone Ibbett-Brown, in their love for musicals, 90s children's TV and Viola Davis.

Studio Theatre is extending its season-opening production of Doubt: A Parable, adding five performances through October 13, 2019. John Patrick Shanley's masterpiece received the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize for its compelling interrogation of certitude and scandal within the Catholic Church. Studio's production is directed by the theatre's Associate Artistic Director Matt Torney and is anchored by DC theatre treasure Sarah Marshall, distinguished by having performed at Studio more than any other actor. Joining Marshall are Christian Conn (Studio Theatre's Venus in Fur) as Father Flynn, Amelia Pedlow as Sister James, and Tiffany M. Thompson as Mrs. Muller.

“Jimmy Kimmel Live!” airs every weeknight at 11:35 p.m. EDT and features a diverse lineup of guests that includes celebrities, athletes, musical acts, comedians and human-interest subjects, along with comedy bits and a house band.
